Tim Rueth

Tim Rueth's professional career includes performing in an entrepreneurial environment as an engineer, executive, consultant, advisor, board member, and investor in small companies, as well as large company experience. His technical foundation began with design, development and management experience in the areas of custom integrated circuit design and wireless systems. His most recent experience includes technology and business development, product commercialization, both sides of fund-raising, due diligence, deal structure, and small company investment. He currently is a private investor in San Diego, and has invested in numerous southern California high-tech companies. He has served on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels, as well as the organization's Screening Committee, personally screening over 350 funding applications. He currently serves on the board of Rhevision Technology, Inc.
Prior to his consulting/advising/investing career, Mr. Rueth held several executive-level positions, including VP IC Engineering for SCS Corp., VP Strategic Technology for Qualcomm Inc., and Staff Engineer at Hewlett Packard.
Mr. Rueth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. He also completed numerous additional post-graduate courses, including the renowned "Executive Program for Scientists and Engineers" and "Best Practices in Corporate Board Governance" at the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Rueth co-authored two published papers and holds three patents.
