Mr. Neil J. Rappaport was a Venture Partner at Windward Ventures and previously, he was a General Partner at Arcturus Capital. Mr. Rappaport founded RVP, Rappaport Venture Partners in 1999 with the intention of leveraging his 30 years of experience in the high tech field, and a proven ability to ferret out new and exciting technologies. Prior to the formation of RVP, Mr. Rappaport spent 16 years as the VP of Worldwide Sales for Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation, a company focused on commercializing Gallium Arsenide High Density Integrated Circuits where he grew the business from inception to $500 million in annual revenues and a $20 billion market cap. Mr. Rappaport was a co-founder and director of E2O Communications, which was a technology company focused on developing long wave length VCSEL technology for the optical communications market. The company then was successfully sold to JDSU for over $65 Million. Mr. Rappaport was also part of the founding team at Applied Micro Circuit Corporation, where 5 years he was responsible for developing product and sales strategy for the United States and Europe, and was responsible for much of AMCC’s early success. Currently Mr. Rappaport serves on the Board of Directors of JACO Electronics a publicly held (NASDAQ: JACO) electronics component distribution and a custom LCD flat panel display company and Reaction Design, a privately held company that is focused on Chemical Fluid Dynamic simulation and modeling. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Boards of CBrite, a flexible electronics materials technology company and SynCira a developer of analog synthesis design and simulation tools, as well as an advisor to the UCSD vonLeibig Center for commercialization and entrepreneurship. Previously, Mr. Rappaport held various position of increasing responsibility at Signetics, and Hughes Aircraft Company. Mr. Rappaport has a B.S. degree from Farleigh Dickinson University and an A.S. degree in electronics technology from the RCA Institute.
