Help Us Select Winning Projects

The von Liebig Center awards seed funds of up to $75,000 to support commercialization of UCSD discoveries with near-term market prospects. These "commercialization grants" are awarded competitively through an external review process: the Center solicits proposals from UCSD researchers and promising teams are asked to present their projects to a review panel comprised of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and business and technology experts. Proposals which show the greatest promise for commercialization are then selected to receive grant awards.
