Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technologies (CCAT)
CCAT provides customized support to both commercial companies in the early development phase as well as those with new technologies for commercialization, and to government scientists and university professors with the desire to commercialize their technologies. UCSD Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Services
The TechTIPS office manages the intellectual property developed at UCSD. Among their many responsibilities, the TechTIPS team protects intellectual property through the disclosure and patenting process, negotiates technology transfer agreements with industry, and markets UCSD inventions to potential licensees.
